Chairman of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Senad Sepić, spoke with heads of PACE parliamentary delegations of the countries from the region
During the third part of the Ordinary Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), which took place from 22 to 26 June this year in Strasbourg, the Chairman of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the PACE, Senad Sepić, hosted a meeting with the heads of PACE parliementary delegations of the countries from the region.
The meeting focused on co-operation between national delegations in international parliamentary organizations, strengthening co-operation between the countries of the region and a joint approach towards the Council of Europe and the European Union.
Chairman of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in the PACE and heads of delegations of the countries of the region in the PACE called for strengthening of interstate co-operation and trust, as well as the resolving of all outstanding issues through dialogue between countries of the region. They moreover agreed that national delegations of countries from the region need to work on further improving relationships through partnerships.
It was pointed out that co-operation should be developed for common interests in order to strengthen the role and positions of both the region on the whole and the individual countries in the region.
Participants of the meeting welcomed a number of activities, including cultural and political events, that Bosnia and Herzegovina has implemented, or is planning to implement on the occasion of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina over the Council of Europe.
The candidate for the position of Secretary General of PACE, Svetislava Bulajić, was presented at the meeting. (End)
