Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Dr Dragan Čović visited the Croatian Heritage Foundation in Zagreb

"Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr Dragan Čović, visited the Croatian Heritage Foundation in Zagreb, where he met with Director Zdeslav Milas. The meeting was also attended by Member of the House of Representatives of PABiH, Darijana Filipović.
The interlocutors discussed activities aimed at further strengthening the cooperation of the Croatian Heritage Foundation with institutions in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a focus on projects of scientific, cultural and artistic institutions. Special attention was devoted to initiatives contributing to stronger ties between Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia through mutual cooperation and joint activities.
Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Dr Čović congratulated Mr Milas on his appointment as Director of the Croatian Heritage Foundation, emphasising the importance of the Foundation as a place of gathering and connecting Croats worldwide. He underlined that the projects run by the Foundation not only contribute to the preservation of cultural and national identity but also strengthen cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia. He particularly expressed his support for the continuation and strengthening of joint activities that enhance educational, cultural and social opportunities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, stressing the importance of continuous work on preserving the tradition and cultural identity of Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Director Milas presented the future projects of the Croatian Heritage Foundation, with special emphasis on initiatives in education, culture and digital connectivity of the Croatian diaspora. Particular focus was placed on the continuation of successful projects and upcoming activities that will further strengthen the ties between Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and contribute to the preservation of the cultural identity and shared heritage of Croats both in the homeland and abroad.
It was highlighted that the forthcoming steps and the continuation of successful projects will further reinforce the unity of Croats in the homeland and the diaspora. It was concluded that these activities contribute to preserving cultural identity and promoting tradition, while at the same time strengthening the partnership between the Republic of Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina and encouraging the long-term development of projects of importance to the wider community."
