Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PA BiH, Kemal Ademović, meets in Copenhagen with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH), Kemal Ademović, met today in Copenhagen, where he is attending the Interparliamentary Conference on the European Union’s Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP), with the Speaker of the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark, Søren Gade Jensen.
During the meeting, Mr Ademović briefed the Speaker of the Danish Parliament on the political and security challenges currently facing Bosnia and Herzegovina and emphasised the importance of accelerating Euro-Atlantic integration for the country. He particularly highlighted the significance of activating the Agreement with FRONTEX to secure Bosnia and Herzegovina’s eastern border and enhance efficiency in the control of cross-border crime and migration. He also expressed his gratitude for the reopening of the Embassy of the Kingdom of Denmark in Sarajevo and underlined the importance of reaching an agreement on dual citizenship to facilitate the stay of Bosnian and Herzegovinian citizens in Denmark.
The Speaker of the Danish Parliament stressed that the European Union (EU) enlargement process is among the key priorities of Denmark’s EU Council Presidency and assured that Denmark will take an active role in supporting Bosnia and Herzegovina on its EU and NATO path.
The Interparliamentary Conference on the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy and Common Security and Defence Policy in Copenhagen was organised by the European Parliament and the Parliament of the Kingdom of Denmark.
