The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina Ognjen Tadić spoke with the Ambassador of Hungary, József Pandur
During the today's meeting, the Ambassador of Hungary to Bosnia and Herzegovina H.E. József Pandur emphasized that Hungary supports Bosnia and Herzegovina in its EU association process, and that his country is interested in helping Bosnia and Herzegovina to fulfil the necessary conditions for the granting of candidate status and, in the near future, EU membership. In addition, H.E. was interested in the current situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and especially in the process of the implementation of the decision of the European Court of Human Rights in the “ Sejdić and Finci against Bosnia and Herzegovina’’ case.
Furthermore, during the meeting, the collocutors concluded that changing focus from the international community in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the OHR to the Office of the Special Representative of the European Union, represents a very positive message. In addition, they agreed that the recently established Office should perform a strong diplomatic and partnership role between the European Union and our country. Accordingly, Mr. Peter Sorensen would be primus inter pares amongst diplomats representing the countries of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina. (end)
