Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr Denis Zvizdić, received the Secretary-General of the Regional Cooperation Council on an inaugural visit

The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr Denis Zvizdić, received the Secretary-General of the Regional Cooperation Council, Amer Kapetanović, on an inaugural visit and congratulated him on his appointment to this important position.
During their conversation, Speaker Zvizdić emphasized that the Regional Cooperation Council is implementing several high-quality projects, the most significant of which is the integration of the entire Western Balkans region into the European Union. To this end, the project for a Common Regional Market has been launched, resulting in several important initiatives, including three mobility agreements, which represent a major achievement within the Berlin Process.
The interlocutors noted that regressive policies continue to pose obstacles in the region and that there are still obstructions in the ratification of certain agreements under the Berlin Process, including the free movement of people with ID cards. Nevertheless, they expressed confidence that these challenges would be overcome over time. They welcomed Kosovo’s decision to unilaterally allow BiH citizens to travel using ID cards, despite the fact that Bosnia and Herzegovina has not yet taken the same step.
In conclusion, Speaker Zvizdić wished Kapetanović a successful mandate and congratulated him on the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Regional Cooperation Council, which was marked on February 27, when the decision for its formation was made in Sofia.
