Member of the House of Representatives and member of the Joint Committee for Human Rights of the PA BiH Rejhana Dervišević attended the session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva

Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) and member of the Joint Human Rights Committee of the PA BiH Rejhana Dervišević attended the session of the United Nations (UN) Human Rights Council in Geneva, where the recommendations for the Universal Periodic Review of the State of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina were adopted (fourth cycle).

A total of 65 countries of the world proposed 196 recommendations for Bosnia and Herzegovina, which were adopted after the Delegation of our country presented the Universal Periodic Review of the State of Human Rights in Bosnia and Herzegovina (fourth cycle).

The largest number of adopted recommendations for Bosnia and Herzegovina refers to the implementation of judgments of the European Court of Human Rights, the right to education, the issue of gender equality, especially greater participation of women in legislative and executive authorities, and the rights of members of the LGBT population.

On the margins of this meeting, Dervišević also met with the President of the UN Human Rights Council, Jürg Lauber.

Bojan Vujić, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the UN and other international organizations in Geneva, also attended the session of the UN Human Rights Council with BiH Delegation. (end)
