Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr Denis Zvizdić, met with the newly appointed Resident Representative of the UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina
„Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr Denis Zvizdić, received today the newly appointed Resident Representative of UNDP in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Renaud Meyer, extending a warm welcome and wishing him a successful term in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Speaker Zvizdić highlighted that UNDP has been present in Bosnia and Herzegovina since 1996, significantly contributing to the country's economic, social, and political development through various projects. He also expressed gratitude for UNDP's assistance to affected municipalities in Bosnia and Herzegovina, particularly those hit by floods and landslides.
During the meeting, Zvizdić stated that Bosnia and Herzegovina fully supports the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), on whose implementation UNDP is actively working. He emphasised that UNDP can always count on support for projects in key areas and that Bosnia and Herzegovina endorses UNDP's new Strategic Plan for the period up to 2025. This plan encompasses critical areas such as digitalisation, energy efficiency, climate change, the rule of law, and employment.
UNDP Representative Meyer stated that joint activities are crucial as they shape a sustainable and equitable future, delivering tangible benefits to all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
