„The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH), Kemal Ademović, addressed the guests at the Embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina in Washington during a reception marking the Armed Forces Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina. We hereby present the full text of the address delivered by the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PA BiH, Kemal Ademović:

„Dear Ambassador Sven Alkalaj,

Dear Brigadier Edin Čizmić,

Dear Colonel Zoran Jović,

Highly Respected General Collins,

Excellencies, Generals, Military Attachés, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is my honour and great pleasure to be here with you today and to greet you on behalf of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are a symbol of the success of post-Dayton Bosnia and Herzegovina, since they mark one of the most successful institutional reforms in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is particularly important to point out that the Armed Forces of BiH have moved, in a record time, from the status of a recipient to the status of a provider of international military assistance. The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina have participated in numerous international peacekeeping missions outside the country, while in Bosnia and Herzegovina they play a significant role in assisting during major disasters, such as the recent floods that affected Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina are our pride and the foundation of the security and stability of our state of Bosnia and Herzegovina for generations to come.

We in Bosnia and Herzegovina deeply appreciate the support of the United States of America, our American friends and allies, both bilaterally and within the NATO partnership, in preserving our sovereignty, territorial integrity and multi-ethnic character.

I would like to take this opportunity to express my special gratitude to the Maryland National Guard. Thank you for your dedicated work, service and continued support to Bosnia and Herzegovina through the State Partnership Program.

To all my compatriots, members of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who bravely and proudly carry the flag of our homeland on their uniforms, I wish a Happy Day of the Armed Forces of Bosnia and Herzegovina!

Finally, to our hosts in the United States of America, I would like to express my sincere congratulations and best wishes for the Thanksgiving and the upcoming holidays of Christmas and a New Year.
