Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives PA BiH Dr. Denis Zvizdić and Marinko Čavara met with the Vice President of the European Parliament Nicolae Ştefănuță

Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives of the PA BIH, Dr. Denis Zvizdić and Marinko Čavara, met today on the sidelines of the 149th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, which is being held in Geneva, with the Vice-President of the European Parliament, Nicolae Ştefănuță.

They discussed the current political situation in BiH and the need to intensify work and return the focus to fulfilling the 14 priorities from the Opinion of the European Commission, especially after the decision of the European Council on the conditional opening of accession negotiations with BiH on March 21 of this year.

Vice President Ştefănuță expressed his condolences to the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina regarding the devastating consequences after the tragic floods and landslides in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which over twenty people lost their lives. He said that the doors of the European Union are open for Bosnia and Herzegovina and that it is necessary to work faster to fulfil the conditions.

The participants of the meeting agreed that there is a lot of room for internal dialogue on the European path and that it is necessary to increase and improve the cooperation between the European Parliament and the Parliament of BiH, and to ensure a more significant presence of BiH representatives in the European Parliament.
