Members of the Joint Collegium of both houses of the PA BiH met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic

Members of the Joint Collegium of both houses of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly spoke today with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic, Jan Lipavský, who pays an official working visit to our country. At the beginning of the meeting, the members of the Joint Collegium expressed their gratitude for the quick assistance provided by the Czech Republic to the population of the areas affected by the recent flash floods.

During the conversation, they expressed mutual satisfaction with the traditionally good and solid political relations between the two countries. Mr. Lipavsky used this opportunity to congratulate our country on the opening of accession negotiations with the EU. As he pointed out, it is a long and complex path on which the Czech Republic will continue to strongly support Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Parliamentary Assembly, as the highest legislative body of Bosnia and Herzegovina, will play a very significant role on this path.

When it comes to economic cooperation between the two countries, it was jointly assessed that it is good and that it is developing, but that there is a lot of room for improvement. Therefore, they expressed the hope that this working visit of Minister Lipavský will be used to open discussions on better connecting the businessmen of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Czech Republic.
