Members of the Joint Committee for Defence and Security of BiH participate in a round table on the improvement of cyber security management in BiH
The deputy chairman of the Joint Committee for Defence and Security of BiH, Marina Pendeš, and the member of the Joint Committee, Milan Dunović, are participating in the round table titled "Improving cyber security management in BiH", which started today in Jahorina.
The two-day round table is held within the framework of the BIHOS project "Bosnia and Herzegovina builds inclusive security supervision", which is implemented by the Center for Security Studies in Sarajevo, together with the Center for European Security Studies (Groningen, Kingdom of the Netherlands), as the main coordinator of the project, and the European Defendology center from Banjaluka.
Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Bosnia and Herzegovina Henk van den Dool, director of the Center for European Security Studies from Groningen Merijn Hartog, president of the Center for Security Studies in Sarajevo Denis Hadžović and president of the European Defence Center from Banja Luka Duško Vejnović welcomed the participants in their introductory speeches.
The aim of the round table, which brought together representatives of legislative institutions and staff from all levels of government in BiH, who operate and work at parliamentary bodies for defence and security, is to provide an insight into the challenges that the cyber domain faces before governments, supervisory authorities and society.
This is the first of three such events foreseen by the project, in which possible responses to cyber threats and challenges will be considered from the perspective of legislative institutions and supervisory bodies in Bosnia and Herzegovina. (end)
