Chair of the PABiH Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Rejhana Dervišević, met with members of the Delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Italy to PAM

Chair of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM), Rejhana Dervišević, met in Marrakech, on the sidelines of the PAM Parliamentary Economic Summit, with members of the Delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Italy to PAM, led by the head of the Delegation and President of the PAM Standing Committee on Economic, Social, and Environmental Cooperation, MP Giulio Centemero.

During the discussions, members of the Delegation of the Parliament of the Republic of Italy, which included MP and PAM Rapporteur on Political and Security Affairs Deborah Bergamini, as well as Italian Senators Ada Lopreiato and Simona Petrucci, expressed interest in the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the country's European integration process.

They stated that all institutions of the Republic of Italy strongly support Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU enlargement process to the Western Balkans. They emphasized that Italy will continue to provide political and technical support to Bosnia and Herzegovina's European integration process through the development of bilateral relations and within international multilateral parliamentary organizations and forums.

Expressing gratitude to her Italian colleagues for their support to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Chair of the Delegation of PA BiH to PAM, Rejhana Dervišević, stated that EU membership remains one of the country's most important foreign policy goals. She expressed confidence that EU institutions will continue to support and assist the enlargement process to the Western Balkans in the upcoming mandate.

During the meeting, it was jointly assessed that the relations between the two countries are good and friendly. It was emphasized that there is room for further improvement in economic cooperation, as well as collaboration between the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Parliament of the Republic of Italy.
