The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH participates in Marrakesh at the Second Session of the of the Marrakesh Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean Region and Gulf” of PAM

Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) Nebojša Radmanović, Chair of the PABiH Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Rejhana Dervišević, and Deputy Chair of the Delegation, Vlatko Glavaš, as well as the Chair of the PABiH Joint Committee for Economic Reforms and Development, Ermina Salkičević – Dizdarević, are participating in the Second Session of the of the Marrakesh Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean Region and Gulf” of PAM, which started today in Marrakesh (Kingdom of Morocco).

The Economic Parliamentary Forum, jointly organized by the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and the House of Councilors of the Kingdom of Morocco, brought together parliamentarians, institutional partners of this multilateral parliamentary organization, and economic experts from the public and private sectors. The aim was to exchange opinions, perspectives, and best practices on current economic issues and challenges faced by countries in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions.

The forum participants were addressed by the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean and President of the House of Councilors of the Kingdom of Morocco, Enaam Mayara; the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Kingdom of Morocco, Rachid Talbi El Alami; and the Speakers of the Parliaments of member states of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, including the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nebojša Radmanović.

During the day, participants discussed the challenges and opportunities of ensuring energy supply and green transition in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions, and the macroeconomic perspectives of these regions.

Expanded Advisory Board Coordination Meeting of the PAM Women Parliamentary Forum (WPF) was also held on the sidelines of the Economic Parliamentary Forum in Marrakech, which was attended by the Chair of the PABiH Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Rejhana Dervišević. The meeting reviewed the strategic priorities of the Women's Parliamentary Forum of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean for the period up to 2026, with a special focus on strengthening cooperation with economic organizations and experts to provide the Women's Parliamentary Forum with all necessary tools for achieving full economic empowerment and independence.

The second day of the Economic Parliamentary Forum in Marrakech will focus on entrepreneurship in the digital world and the challenges of artificial intelligence, innovation networks for entrepreneurship and intellectual property rights as a key to prosperity and economic growth in the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions.
