Members of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean


The Chairman of the Permanent Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šemsudin Mehmedović, and Delegation members, Ognjen Tadić and Mladen Ivanković Lijanović, will participate at the 7th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean (PAM) to be held in Malta on 12-13 October 2012.

The plenary session will be opened by the PAM President, Mr. Fayez Al-Tarawneh, who is also the Prime Minister of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan. Afterwards, it is anticipated that a message from the United Nations Secretary-General, Ban Ki-moon, will be delivered, as well as opening addresses by the Speaker of the Parliament of Malta, Mr. Michael Frendo, and the Speaker of the National Constituent Assembly of Tunisia, Mr. Mustapha Ben Jaafar.

During the session, reports by the Standing Committee on Political Co-operation and Security, the Standing Committee on Economic, Social and Environmental Co-operation and the Standing Committee on Dialogue among Civilizations will be discussed, including anticipated activities for 2013-2014.

At the PAM plenary session, voting is expected on the following Reports and Resolutions: the “Middle East Peace Process and Events in the Arab Countries”, the “Eco-Mafia and its Impact on the Mediterranean,” “The Mediterranean Environment in Jeopardy: A Call for Urgent Action,” the “Activities of the PAM Panel on Foreign Trade and Investments,” and “Education” as well as the draft Report and Resolution on “ Job Creation and Unemployment in the Mediterranean.”(end).
