The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina at the session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie

The Chairman of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie (FPA), Salko Sokolović, took part in the 28th session of the FPA for the Europe region, being held in Saint-Hélier on the British island of Jersey.

During the three-day session which was attended by 70 delegates from 19 member states of the FPA, discussions were held on the economic strategy for the Europe Francophone countries.

Conference participants had the opportunity to exchange experience and listen to expert presentations related to freedom of expression and of the media, as well as to the protection of religious freedoms and minority rights.

One of the three sessions was dedicated to the promotion of Francophonie on the island of Jersey, where the population is predominantly Anglophone, as well as to the development of projects for the establishment of bilingual primary school on the island.

Since 2010, Bosnia and Herzegovina has had observer status in this international organization which brings together more than 70 Francophone countries from all five continents. In 2013, the Parliamentary Assembly of the Francophonie adopted the Request of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina for observer status in this multilateral parliamentary organization. [BJ1]This makes little sense. The request for observer status was adopted in 2013, yet BiH has had the observer status since 2010. Please verify.

Tekst nije jasan. Zahtjev za statusom posmatraca je usovjen 2013 – a Bih je ovaj status imala od 2010. Zamilili su da se ovo samo provjeri.
