Member of the House of Representatives of the PABiH Saša Magazinović met with the President of Malta Geoge Vella

"The President of Malta strongly supported BiH's European path”

Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Saša Magazinović, is visiting Malta, where, as the President of the Committee for Sustainable Development of the Global Parliament for Peace and Tolerance, he participated in various meetings and discussions focused on building peace and tolerance in currently challenging circumstances.

On that occasion, Magazinović, as part of the delegation of the Global Council for Tolerance and Peace, had a meeting with the President of Malta, George Vella.

"The President of Malta, George Vella, did us the honour by welcoming us at his residence. This man of peace and tolerance impressed me with his knowledge of the situation in our region, and especially in our country.

In the conversation we had, he made it very clear to me that, when it comes to accession to the European Union, we should not doubt Malta's support as a member of the European Union. At the same time, it is with concrete results that we have to show we want it," said Magazinović after the meeting with the President of Malta, expressing full understanding for the great expectations from the newly formed authorities, both from the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and from international partners.

In addition to the president, numerous other Maltese officials have expressed their support for integration processes, including the Speaker of the Parliament of Malta Angelo Farrugia, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Trade Ian Borg, as well as members of the Parliament of this country.

During his visit, Magazinović will have numerous bilateral meetings, and he has been invited to address the Parliament of Malta and to speak on the topic of building peace and tolerance in the region that includes the countries of the Mediterranean, the Middle East and North Africa. In addition, Magazinović will speak on the panel about the role of the European Union as a global acter in ensuring peace in the Balkan region.
