Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina spoke with the President of Slovakia
Good, friendly relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Slovakia should be supported by intensified economic relations, as well as by co-operation on all other levels, such as science, art, culture and other areas, emphasized today members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives and House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina in discussion with Ivan Gašparovič, the President of the Slovak Republic.
Expressing gratitude for the overall support which the Slovak Republic has given to Bosnia and Herzegovina, the representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina expressed the hope that Bosnia and Herzegovina will accelerate steps towards the European Union, after the institutional crises.
According to President Gašparovič, Slovakia will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path toward EU and NATO integration, and it is ready to share its experience in order to avoid the same mistakes in the integration process. Accordingly, taking into account the importance of legislative activities, co-operation between the parliaments of the two countries and experience exchange are very important.
During the meeting, the collocutors discussed cementing connections and meetings of businessmen, as well as intensified co-operation in tourism. (end)
