Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PABiH Dr. Nikola Špirić spoke with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina

"The Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Nikola Špirić, spoke today with the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ji Ping.

The interlocutors stated that there are good and friendly relations between the two countries, which are accompanied by exceptional cooperation. Road infrastructure projects and projects from the energy sector, which are implemented through the "17+1" mechanism and the "One Belt One Road" initiative, are of great importance for the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as the entire region, it was said at the meeting and concluded that it is necessary to work further on improving economic cooperation, especially on reducing the trade deficit, because Bosnia and Herzegovina, like most countries in the region, has a pronounced trade deficit with the People's Republic of China.

Dr. Špirić welcomed the People's Republic of China’s foreign policy principles, which include non-interference in internal affairs and advocating for the resolution of disputed issues through dialogue and negotiations.

During the meeting, Dr. Špirić also informed the Ambassador about the process of forming the government after the October elections. Interlocutors also discussed current events in the country, the region and on the global level.
