Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the PA B&H, Dr. Dragan Čović, spoke in Zagreb with the Minister of Finance in the Government of the Republic of Croatia

"The deputy speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH), Dr. Dragan Čović, spoke today in Zagreb with the Minister of Finance in the Government of the Republic of Croatia, Marko Primorac.

The recent foreign policy successes of the two countries, with the acquisition of BiH candidate status and the entry of the Republic of Croatia into Schengen and the Eurozone, have opened new perspectives for joint and close bilateral cooperation between the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Croatia, it was said during this meeting.

They stated that joint strategic cooperation in terms of the economy and the strengthening of living standards give special dimensions in the continuation of BiH's European path towards full membership in the EU. It was pointed out that the Government of the Republic of Croatia is already one of the most important partners of BiH in the integration process, as well as in future steps in taking over the acquis of the EU.

The interlocutors stated that institutional connectivity in the field of finance is a common priority that will enable the consolidation of all processes, especially after the financial challenges caused by the pandemic and the consequences of the energy crisis."
