Speaker of the House of Representatives, Borjana Krišto, and the Speaker of the House of Peoples, Bariša Čolak, attend the 18th Winter Meeting of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly
Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Borjana Krišto, and the Speaker of the House of Peoples of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly, Bariša Čolak, took part in the 18th Winter Meeting of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organisation for Security and Co-operation in Europe, (OSCE PA) in Vienna.
A meeting of the OSCE PA Silk Road Support Group was held prior to the session, where a new project for rail connection of Asia and Europe was presented. Potential railway routes were discussed during the presentation and discussion, as well as the economic benefits of such a project as a result of the reduction in the time and cost of transport.
On the first day of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly’s session, participants were addressed by the President of the Austrian National Council, Wolfgang Sobotka, OSCE PA President George Tsereteli, and OSCE Chairperson-in-Office, and the Foreign Minister of Slovakia, Miroslav Lajčak. The session reviewed the security challenges facing the countries of the region, the prevention of potential conflicts, the situation in Ukraine, freedom of the media, and the strengthening of mutual dialogue and co-operation.
