Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples Ognjen Tadić participates in the 28th Economic Forum "Europe of Carpathians" in Poland

Upon the invitation of the Marshal of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, Marek Kuchinsky, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Ognjen Tadić, participates in the 28th Economic Forum "Europe of Carpathians", which is being held in Krynica Zdroj in Poland.

More than 4,000 participants of this international forum, organised by the Sejm of the Republic of Poland, discuss ways to improve economic and political cooperation of the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, with special attention being paid to establishing closer co-operation between parliaments and governments in the framework of the "Three Sees" and "Collegium Carpathicum ".

Participating as a panellist in the discussion themed "Parliamentary Assembly of Central East Europe - Three Sees - Intermarium", Mr. Tadić pointed out that the Three Sees Initiative is quite unknown in BiH. Considering that political ideas and the capital today move mainly from the East to the West, i.e. from Russia to Western Europe - primarily to Germany, as well as from China to the countries of Eastern Europe through the Belt and Road Initiative, the question arises what specific political idea or the capital have the need to dominantly move along the Baltic Sea - the Adriatic Sea - the Black Sea route?

"The experience of Bosnia and Herzegovina with similar initiatives, such as CEI and PAM, has shown us no concrete results. However, if BiH receives the invitation to cooperate with the "Three Sees" Initiative, and in accordance with our practice, we will make efforts, as it has been so far, to make a positive contribution", Tadić said.

At this event, attended by a large number of heads of parliaments of Central and Eastern European countries, members of the European Parliament, as well as representatives of governments, local self-governments, universities and civil society, this quite rich programme included also discussions related to regional security issues, infrastructure construction, as well as challenges facing Europe in the future, including issues of the migration and demographic situation.
