Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH at the Parliamentary Conference on the World Trade Organization in Buenos Aires
The speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) Ognjen Tadić, Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Trade and Customs of the House of Representatives of PA BiH, Šemsudin Mehmedović and the Chairman of the Committee on Finance and Budget of the PA BiH House of Representatives Predrag Kožul will be the PA BiH Delegation to the Parliamentary Conference on the World Trade Organization (WTO), which will take place on December 9th and 10th in Buenos Aires.
The Parliamentary Conference, jointly organized by the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the European Parliament, will be dedicated to the preparations for holding the 11th Ministerial Conference of the WTO, which will be held on December 10 in the capital of Argentina.
According to the announcements, the WTO Parliamentary Conference in Buenos Aires will be an opportunity for dialogue between parliamentarians from all over the world with negotiators and WTO officials. At the same time, this meeting will also discuss the issue of e-commerce and the internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises, and the role of multilateralism will also be discussed at the time of increasing protectionism.
In addition to bilateral meetings with members of parliamentary delegations, the PA BiH Delegation will also attend the inaugural session of the Ministerial Conference of the WTO, the Trade and Sustainable Development Symposium, as well as the Business Forum of the WTO Ministerial Conference.
Bosnia and Herzegovina is in the final stage of negotiations for full membership in the WTO. (end)
