Members of the Collegium of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH talked with the Serbian Prime Minister
Members of the Collegium of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Deputy Speakers of the House of Representatives, Dr. Božo Ljubić and Dr. Denis Bećirovic, Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples, Staša Košarac, Chair of the Bosniac People’s Caucus in the House of Peoples, Mr Halid Genjac and Chair of the Caucus of SNSD members, Drago Kalabić, met today with the Serbian Prime Minister, Mr Aleksandar Vučić, who is paying an official visit to our country.
In an open and friendly conversation, it was noted that this visit by the Serbian Prime Minister is seen as a step forward in the further improvement of relations between the two neighbouring countries, whose relations have varied in the past. This belief is supported by current data on trade between BiH and Serbia, which was up 20 % at the beginning of this year compared to the same period last year.
Prime Minister Vučić announced today preparations for a joint session between the Government of Serbia and the Council of Ministers of BiH. Open issues will be actively discussed at the joint session; issues such as state boundary, amongst other things, which slow down open co-operation between the two countries, should finally be resolved.
Interlocutors expressed the two countries’ strong commitment to strengthen their mutual economic co-operation and to design regional development projects, which would attract serious investors to South East Europe. (end)
