Born on October 16, 1940 in Raduša, Tešanj municipality. Graduated from the Faculty of Medicine in Sarajevo. Master degree obtained in 1984, and won Doctor's degree in 1986 at the Faculty of Medicine in Zagreb (doctor – cardiologist, doctor of medical science).
