Member of the Permanent Delegation of the OSCE PA, Dr. Mirza Kušljugić, at the autumn session of the OSCE PA in Geneva


MP of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) and member of the Permanent Delegation of the BiH PA in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE PA), Dr. Mirza Kušljugić, participated in the OSCE PA’s regular autumn session, from 3 to 5 October in Geneva.

As announced by the OSCE PA, the autumn session was devoted to considering the role of Member States’ parliaments in the face of new security challenges. According to the agenda, this central theme was discussed in three sessions devoted to: the political and military dimension; the economic and environmental dimension; and the humanitarian dimension of security challenges.

In the session introduction, participants were addressed by the president of the OSCE PA, Ilkka Kanerva, the Chairperson of the Cantons’ Council of Switzerland, Upper House of the Swiss Parliament, Hannes Germann, as well as by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Switzerland, Didier Burkhalter.

In addition to the Standing Committee of the OSCE PA session, during this three-day meeting, the Mediterranean Forum of OSCE PA was organized, also in Geneva. (End)
