Meeting between the Chairman of the House of Representatives Šefik Džaferović and the Head of Office of the Council of Europe

 
The Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Šefik Džaferović spoke with the Head of Office of the Council of Europe in BiH, Mary Ann Hennessey.

Mrs. Hennessey is particularly interested in the process of preparing our country for taking over the presidency of Council of Europe in May-November this year, and for the appointment process of the Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

The topic of discussion today was the beginning of establishment of the authority in the Federation BiH and at the state level. According to the words of Chairman Džaferović, all conditions are there so that after the elections of President and Vice-President of the Federation BiH could strongly initiate the appointment and confirmation of the Council of Ministers and the Government of the Federation BiH so before the ending of February the process of establishing these two executive authority is fully completed. However, they agreed that after that, appearances the most serious work concerning the implementation of a number of reforms, which should result in the entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement as well as by giving a credible application for acquiring candidate status for EU membership before the end of this year.
