Members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly spoke with President and Prime Minister of Slovenia
On the second day of the official visit to the Republic of Slovenia, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, Mladen Bosić, and his deputy speakers Borjana Krišto and Šefik Džaferović, spoke in separate meetings with the President of Slovenia Borut Pahor and the Prime Minister of Slovenia Miro Cerar.
President Pahor emphasized that Slovenia strongly supports peace, security and stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina and believes that the entire region of the Western Balkans should become part of the European Union. That is why Slovenia gives its strong support to the path of Bosnia and Herzegovina towards European integration. He added that are visible the progress and the reforms which are being implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina and which are in accordance with the agreed reform agenda.
During their meeting, the members of the Collegium and the Slovenian Prime Minister Miro Cerar spoke about the migrant crisis, the status and rights of BiH citizens who live and work in Slovenia, the necessary adoption of European standards and the challenges that the European Union is facing after Brexit. The members of the Collegium expressed their belief that the economic cooperation between two countries will be improved in the coming period, which would contribute to faster economic development. Also, they expressed the expectation that Slovenia will continue to support Bosnia and Herzegovina in the process of its accession to full membership in the European Union. (end)
