Members of the Joint Collegium of both Houses of the BiH PA spoke with the EU High Representative, Federica Mogherini

 
Shortly before her speech at the BiH PA, the EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission, Federica Mogherini, met with members of the Joint Collegium of both Houses of the BiH PA to, as she said, demonstrate that the EU strongly supports the European path of our country and welcomes the BiH PA's adoption of the BiH Presidency Statement on the commitment of institutions at all levels of government in BiH to implement the necessary reforms in the framework of the EU accession process.

The high-level guest thanked the members of the Joint Collegium on the leadership's role in the adoption process,emphasizing that it is not only a major and important step, but a step that precedes many concrete reform procedures to bring our country closer to European standards and EU membership. On this path, she said, the EU will be a good collaborator and support, but it is a process that all Bosnian political forces should lead.

Thanking her for the support and evident commitment of the EU to our country, the Chairperson of the House of Representatives, Šefik Džaferović, pointed out that BiH needed such a European initiative and believes that we will know how to use this opportunity. He also conveyed his expectation that the BiH PA, in the reform process, will colaborate closely with the bodies of the EU. (End)
