Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Borjana Krišto, spoke with the Ambassador of Iran to BiH
The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA), Borjana Krišto, met the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Seyed Hossein Rajabi.
Thanking Ambassador Rajabi for his congratulations on her election to the Collegium of the House of Representatives, as well as those of the president of the Iranian Parliament, Ali Larijani, Ms. Krišto expressed satisfaction with the development of friendly relations between the two countries. She also expressed the hope that, in the future, parliamentary ties between BiH and Iran will be an accelerated, both at the parliamentary leadership level and via the intensified activities of parliamentary friendship groups.
Ambassador Rajabi was interested in the current political climate in BiH after the final establishment of the legislative and executive authorities. Responding to questions, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed that the priority task of the new BiH government is to put the internal situation in order and to stabilize the political environment in BiH. Then, she added, stronger reform actions will be conducted to advance our country's aim of European Union membership. (End)
