Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH PA) to PACE met with the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of Council of Europe

 
The BiH PA delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) met with the President of the Council of Europe PA, Anne Brasseur. The main topic of the meeting was the upcoming BiH Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe.

The members of our delegation introduced President Brasseur to the most important political events that BiH is planning to implement during its chairing of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, and stressed the full readiness of BiH for the upcoming presidency.

Expressing gratitude to the BiH PA delegation to the PACE on its preparations for taking over the presidency, President Brasseur underlined PACE's readiness to actively participate in all events during our country's presidency. She expressed the hope that the presidency will represent a very important incentive for the competent representatives of BiH's institutions to further accelerate reform processes, as well as implement the European Court of Human Rights' judgment in the Sejdić-Finci case.

President Brasseur thanked the members of the BiH PA delegation to PACE for the excellent organization of her visit to BiH from 11 to 13 March this year, and expressed her pleasure at seeing BiH government representatives again at a meeting of the Bureau and Standing Committee of the Council of Europe PA on 21 and 22 May in Sarajevo, within the framework of BiH's Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe presidency.
