Members of the Collegium of both Houses of the BH Parliamentary Assembly hold a discussion with the President of the European Parliament
Members of the Collegium of both Houses of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina met today in Sarajevo with the President of the European Parliament Martin Schulz to discuss the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region, as well as the obligations of BiH on its European path.
Mr. Schulz assessed the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Western Balkans as complex and difficult, but stressed that BiH and other countries in the region have a clear European perspective and the full support of the European Parliament and other institutions of the European Union.
During the meeting discussions were held on the announced referendum in RS, improving the economy and tackling unemployment, and the participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in the global coalition against terrorism.
Members of the Collegium of both Houses of the BH Parliamentary Assembly expressed their firm commitment to work towards the fulfillment of reform obligations with the aim that, after entry into force of the Stabilisation and Association Agreement, BiH meets the conditions for receiving candidate status for accession to the European Union.
