Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PABiH, Dr Denis Zvizdić, Holds Meeting with Delegation of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr Denis Zvizdić, held a meeting today with a delegation of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, led by H.E. Mr Abdulrahman bin Sanhat Al-Harbi, Chair of the Saudi-Bosnia and Herzegovina Parliamentary Friendship Committee.

The meeting was also attended by Member of the Friendship Committee, Dr Muhammed bin Abdulaziz Abahussain, as well as the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, H.E. Anas Abdulrahman Al Wasedy.

During the meeting, it was confirmed that Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia enjoy friendly and substantive bilateral relations, with a mutual commitment to their further advancement. It was particularly highlighted that the assistance provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Bosnia and Herzegovina over the past decades stands as an enduring testament of friendship towards all citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was emphasised that numerous completed infrastructure, educational, humanitarian, and development projects best demonstrate the strong partnership and solidarity between the two friendly countries.

The Chair of the Parliamentary Friendship Committee, Mr Abdulrahman bin Sanhat Al-Harbi, conveyed the warm greetings of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as well as those of the Speaker of the Shura Council, highlighting the Saudi side's commitment to further strengthening cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina at all levels.

During the discussion, Dr Zvizdić and Mr Al-Harbi underlined the opportunities for enhancing cooperation in the fields of education, the economy, and culture, with both sides agreeing that there is significant scope for intensifying ties between the two countries. Special attention was given to the possibilities of improving air connectivity between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which would further contribute to the development of tourism, business cooperation, and people-to-people contacts.

The interlocutors expressed their confidence that today's meeting would provide fresh impetus to the further strengthening of friendly relations and parliamentary cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
