Members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of BiH Parliamentary Assembly had the meeting with the High Representative and Special Representative of EU in BiH, Valentin Inzko
Constitution of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly is certainly a positive signal that has opened a number of other processes in the formation of the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina; first of all, it initiated the procedure for appointing the Chairman and the members of the Council of Ministers of our country.
This was highlighted today during the meeting of the members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives, the Speaker of the House, Denis Bećirović and the Second Deputy Speaker, Dr Božo Ljubić with the High Representative and EU Special Representative for BiH, Valentin Inzko.
They agreed that the election of the leaders of the House of Representatives may not represent the will of all parliamentary parties, but is the result of democratic will of elected officials. Mr. Inzko welcomed the election and expressed the hope that the same democratic standards will be applied for other high state positions.
In the same time, he expressed his satisfaction because of the fact that representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly are again in the Council of Europe, Parliamentary Assembly of Mediterranean, Inter-Parliamentary Union and OSCE so that, after a few months break, our delegations can participate in the work of these associations in their full capacity. In this regard, the idea that the members of the House of Representatives of PA BiH compose its standing delegation in the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe until establishment of the House of Peoples and election of its members from this House was positively received.
