Dr. Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, met with the President of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Japan

Dr. Denis Bećirović, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH, held a working meeting with President of the House of Representatives of Japan, Mr. Takahiro Yokomichi.

“We strongly support the territorial integrity and stability of Bosnia and Herzegovina, which is essential for the stability of the entire Western Balkans. We hope that your country has strong prosperity through the full agreement of three biggest nations and of all its citizens,” said President Yokomichi.

Speaker Bećirović thanked Mr. Yokomichi for the constant support and assistance that Japan provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina. He also expressed the wish that the good bilateral political relations between the two countries advance through parliamentary co-operation. In this way, added the chairman of the House of Representatives, the groundwork will be laid for a stronger linking of business and for stronger economic ties between the two countries. During the meeting the idea was raised of twinning cities of Japan and Bosnia and Herzegovina, which would expand fields of co-operation in many other spheres, such as culture, sports, science and other fields.
