The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH Marinko Čavara met with the Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of Hungary for the Western Balkans
"The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Marinko Čavara, met with Zsolt Bunford, the special envoy of the Prime Minister of Hungary for the Western Balkans.
The interlocutors discussed the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with special emphasis on the Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path, respect for the constitutional order, and the need to ensure legitimate political representation of the constituent peoples.
Speaker Čavara thanked Hungary for its continuous support for the European integration of Bosnia and Herzegovina, pointing out that consistent respect for the Constitution of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the rule of law and the equality of the constituent peoples is important for progress on the European path. He also congratulated on the excellently organized Conference of Speakers of the Parliaments of Southeast European countries, held last week in Budapest, during which the strong commitment of Hungary and the member states of the Visegrad Group to continue the process of expanding the European Union to the countries of the Western Balkans was once again confirmed.
The special envoy of the Prime Minister of Hungary, Zsolt Bunford, confirmed Hungary's support for the European perspective of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and emphasized the importance of continuous dialogue and accelerated implementation of reforms.
The interlocutors agreed that Bosnia and Herzegovina and Hungary have good and friendly relations and expressed their willingness to continue cooperation and further strengthen bilateral relations, especially on the economic level.
