Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of PABiH, Dr Dragan Čović, met with the Special Envoy of the Republic of Slovenia for the Western Balkans and the Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to BiH

"The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr Dragan Čović, held a working meeting with His Excellency Anže Frangeš, Ambassador and Special Envoy of the Republic of Slovenia for the Western Balkans, and His Excellency Damijan Sedar, Ambassador of the Republic of Slovenia to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The meeting focused on current political developments in Bosnia and Herzegovina, with particular attention to European reforms. In the context of the 30th anniversary of the Dayton–Paris Peace Agreement, the importance of preserving peace, stability, integrity, dialogue, and constitutional principles was emphasised as essential foundations for ensuring the necessary progress.

On this occasion, the Deputy Speaker, Dr Čović, expressed his gratitude to the representatives of the Republic of Slovenia for their consistent advocacy and strong support for Bosnia and Herzegovina’s European path. He particularly underlined the importance of a functional internal dialogue, as well as the need to ensure the equality of the Croat people and their legitimate political representation, especially in view of the forthcoming electoral process in 2026.

Special Envoy Frangeš stressed that the swift implementation of European reforms in BiH represents a shared priority and reiterated support for all efforts aimed at achieving lasting internal stabilisation and fulfilling foreign policy objectives. Marking the 30th anniversary of the Dayton Agreement, he also reaffirmed the importance of upholding constitutional principles.
