Delegate of the House of Peoples of PABiH, Marina Pendeš, participated in the Conference on Parliamentary Oversight in South-East Europe in Warsaw

A Delegate of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) and Deputy Chairwoman of the Joint Committee on Defence and Security of BiH, Marina Pendeš, participated in the Conference on Parliamentary Oversight in South-East Europe, held on 3 and 4 November 2025 in Warsaw.

The Conference, organised by the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE), brought together parliamentarians and experts from across the region with the aim of exchanging experiences and best practices in strengthening democratic oversight, transparency and government accountability through effective parliamentary oversight of executive institutions.

As a panellist in the session titled “Security Sector Oversight”, Delegate Pendeš spoke about Bosnia and Herzegovina’s experience in exercising parliamentary oversight of the defence and security sector, with particular emphasis on the work and role of the Joint Committee on Defence and Security of BiH.
