Members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH held a meeting with the newly appointed head of the OSCE Mission in BiH

Members of the Collegium of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly (PA BiH) today received the newly appointed head of the OSCE Mission in BiH, Richard Holtzapple.

During the meeting, they expressed their gratitude for the activities that the OSCE Mission has been carrying out in our country for many years with the aim of supporting the strengthening of democratic institutions, the rule of law and human rights, supporting electoral processes and the realization of its overall agenda, which, as said, represents the overall needs of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Ambassador Holtzapple emphasized today that the primary task of the OSCE Mission in our country is to strengthen the work of institutions and that this will remain the focus in the future. During the conversation, he was particularly interested in the views of the members of the Collegium on how the OSCE Mission can further help the successful implementation of the General Elections in 2026, as well as in the forecasts of when the Law on the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Law on the HJPC will be adopted in the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH , which are conditions for the start of negotiations for accession to the European Union.

Members of the Collegium pointed out that there are enough political will and strength in the House of Representatives to pass these and other pro-European laws. (end)
