Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Dragan Čović, met today in Sarajevo with the Head of the Delegation of the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the EU Special Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Peter Sorensen.

During the conversation, views were exchanged on the political and economic conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), with an emphasis on the reform processes and priorities on the road to Euro-Atlantic integration. They stressed the importance of intensive co-operation, continuing dialogue, and mutual consultations between relevant institutions.

Positive processes should provide momentum for further activities. The future of BiH has no alternative but membership of the European Union and thus, it was jointly concluded that fulfilling accession requirements is the most urgent priority. (end)
