Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH Dr. Milorad Živković received the Ambassador of Italy to Bosnia and Herzegovina
With the aim of intensifying inter-parliamentary co-operation between Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) and Italy, the Chairman of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly, Dr. Milorad Živković, today received the Ambassador of Italy to BiH, Raimondo de Cardona. During the meeting an invitation letter was given to the Ambassador of Italy for the President of the House of Representatives of the Parliament of the Republic of Italy, Gianfranco Fine, for a bilateral visit to BiH, which will be held on 13 March 2012.
During the meeting, Dr. Živković expressed the commitment of BiH to EU integration and the importance of strengthening regional co-operation. Ambassador de Cardona stated Italy’s position, on behalf of the EU, with regard to the implementation of the Ruling of the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg in the Sejdić-Finci case. He stressed that Italy and the EU do not require radical changes to the Constitution, only the changes related to the implementation of the Ruling. (end)
