Members of the PABiH Delegation to the IPU met with the President of the OSCE PA

The Deputy Chair of the Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH) to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), Miroslav Vujičić, Delegation member Ermina Salkičević-Dizdarević, and Chair of the PABiH Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, Rejhana Dervišević, met in Tashkent, on the margins of the 150th IPU Assembly, with the President of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), Pia Kauma.

During an open and friendly meeting, the members of the PABiH Delegation informed the President of the OSCE PA about the current political situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, presenting differing opinions and perspectives.

President of the OSCE PA expressed interest in Bosnia and Herzegovina’s progress along the European path. In this context, the PABiH Delegation members emphasised that there is a shared commitment within the country regarding BiH’s European integration. They also pointed out the impression that Bosnia and Herzegovina is being subjected to significantly higher requirements compared to some other countries facing even greater challenges. Additionally, they warned that the European Union cannot be considered complete without the integration of Western Balkan countries.

President of the OSCE PA, Pia Kauma, expressed her willingness to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina later this year. (End)
