The Delegation of the House of Representatives met with the President of The Republic of Turkey, Mr. Abdullah Gul
During the today’s session of the members of the delegation of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Abdullah Gul, it was emphasized that the legislative branch of the government of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republic of Turkey should influence the executive bodies of the two friendly countries to implement the earlier ratified treaties and to create better conditions for Turkish investors in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Also, they stressed that there is a need to enable the work of the Mixed Economic Committees and Joint Committees to abolish all administrative obstacles and to make progress on the path which was successfully opened by the politicians of the two countries.
During this meeting, the members of the Delegation headed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mr. Milorad Živković accompanied by his Deputies Dr. Božo Ljubić and Dr. Denis Bećirović expressed their gratitude to the Republic of Turkey for their unconditional support and the concrete help given to the peoples and citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It was emphasized that in the future the two countries should strengthen cooperation in international associations. Accordingly, the Speaker Živković emphasized the importance of the support that the Republic of Turkey as a NATO member provides to Bosnia and Herzegovina on its path toward NATO membership, for which the issue of state military property remains to be resolved. However, the evident emotional attachment between the citizens of these two countries represents a potential which should not remain unexploited in attempts to establish stronger cooperation in various fields.
Today, the practice of trilateral diplomatic action between Bosnia and Herzegovina, the Republic of Turkey and the Republic of Serbia was welcomed. Accordingly, this practice of developing internal relations and performing joint initiatives has achieved positive outcomes. (end)
