The Collegium of the House of Representatives spoke with representatives of the Confederation of businessman and Industrialists of Turkey TUSKON

Economic relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Turkey are still significantly below the level of real possibilities, lagging behind the positive, friendly political relations. The Working Meeting for the Delegation of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with industrialists who are gathered in the Confederation of Turkish Businessmen TUSKON, was appraised as an important meeting, and will be the beginning of future intensive contacts and co-operation.

During the meeting, members of the Delegation of House of Representatives, consisting of members of the Collegium, the Speaker of the House Dr. Milorad Živković and his Deputies Dr. Božo Ljubić and Dr. Denis Bećirović, explained that they are aware of the obligation as parliamentarians create a legislative framework for better economic connection between the two countries and Turkish investment businessman in Bosnia and Herzegovina. However, they expressed willingness to be a mediator and catalyst in these developments. Because of this, they asked Rizanur Mera, the President of the Confederation of Turkish businessmen TUSKON to transmit the invitation to visit BiH in order to get to know it, with all its resources remaining open. They discussed the idea of organizing a business forum that would bring together the two countries and the business community, on which TUSKON would be represented by a strong delegation of industrialists.

During the conversation, which ended the official working visit of the Delegation of the House of Representatives of the BiH PA to Turkey, it was emphasized that, for Bosnia and Herzegovina, Turkish experiences in the field of agriculture and the development of small and medium enterprises would be very valuable. The Confederation TUSKON is therefore assessed as more than a good collocutor considering that it is an association that brings together several dozen companies. The members of our Delegation introduced the hosts to the existence of significant opportunities for investing in the winter, religious tourism, agriculture and organic food production, the timber industry, the energy sector and transport infrastructure and especially noted the Corridor Vc, the modernization of the Port of Brčko and railways.
