Meeting of the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dr. Denis Bećirović, with the Ambassador of Turkey
The foreign policy of the Republic of Turkey is a policy of peace and confidence building among nations and, due to its maturity and gravity, it has positive echoes not only in Europe but around the world. That is why for Bosnia and Herzegovina the upcoming visit by the Foreign Minister, Ahmet Davutoglu, is very important, stressed Dr. Denis Bećirović, Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of Bosnia and Herzegovina at today's meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to BiH, Ahmet Yildiz. According to Dr. Bećirović, the negative assessment by some entity leaders about the foreign policy of Turkey is unacceptable. It would be good, he pointed out, for those who provide such assessments to know that Turkey last year invested more into Serbia than into Bosnia and Herzegovina, which says enough about its politics.
During the meeting, Dr. Bećirović and Ambassador Yildiz jointly assessed that the future of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the whole region lies in returning confidence amongst peoples and states and, in this way, Turkey, as a proven friend, will continue to provide overall support and assistance.
On this occasion, Dr. Bećirović thanked Ambassador Yildiz for the hospitality and respect expressed by the highest Turkish officials during the recent official visit of Members of the Collegium of this House to Turkey. (end)
