The speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Dragan Čović met with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina

"Today, the speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Dragan Čović met in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Bosnia and Herzegovina Ms. Aurora Mejia.

The Speaker of the House of Peoples, Dr. Čović informed the Ambassador about the activities of the budget adoption in the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, implementation of the decision of the European Court in Strasbourg in the case of “Sejdić and Finci against Bosnia and Herzegovina”, and about the challenges and the tasks that the institutions of Bosnia and Herzegovina will confront before and after the accession of the Republic of Croatia to the European Union, with the special stress on the reflection of the political and economic conditions in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

On the other hand, they agreed that open and friendly dialog between Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Kingdom of Spain results in no open questions between these two countries. In addition, this improves bilateral relations and cooperation between the two countries in all the spheres, especially in economy.

The speaker of the House of Peoples, Mr. Čović used this opportunity to express the gratitude to the Kingdom of Spain for the help and support that has been provided to Bosnia and Herzegovina, but also for the expressed interest of their businessmen to invest in the prosperous programmes in our country.
