The Delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina will participate in a high- level Conference of the Standing Committee for Economic, Social and Environmental issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean on how to achieve sustainable growth in the region
On 29 June 2012 in Lisbon, the delegation of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, composed of Mr. Šemsudin Mehmedović and Mr. Ognjen Tadić, will take part in a meeting of the Second Standing Committee for Economic, Social and Environmental issues of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean.
Participants will engage in an exchange of opinions through parliamentary hearing on the theme: “Towards sustainable economic development in the Mediterranean Region” from a financing perspective.
The parliamentary hearing sessions will focus on the following topics: A Framework for Political, Economic and Financial Sustainability in the Mediterranean Region; the Outlook for the Mediterranean: the Economic Impact of Social and Demographic Dynamics; Finance for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises and their Role in Economic Stability; Regional Co-operation in Key Industry Sectors: Energy and Infrastructure.
Along with other participants, Àlvaro Santos Pereira, the Minister of Economy and Employment of the Republic of Portugal, and Sergio Piazzi, the Secretary General of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Mediterranean, will address participants. (end)
