The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Nikola Špirić, received the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina on his introductory visit

The Deputy Speaker of the House of Peoples of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PABiH), Dr. Nikola Špirić, received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Bosnia and Herzegovina, His Excellency Valid Hagag, on his introductory visit.

During the discussion, it was highlighted that the two countries share close and friendly relations, but that in recent years there has been a decline in the intensity of cooperation across almost all areas. The interlocutors agreed that the current level of cooperation does not reflect the true state of respect and friendship between the peoples of these two friendly countries. It was noted at the meeting that there are real foundations and capacities for the development of economic relations, and in this regard, it was proposed to organise meetings of businesspeople from both countries, to increase trade exchange, as well as to boost tourist visits in both directions.

The participants concurred that peace, stability, and security are essential for everyone in these turbulent times.
