Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH Nebojša Radmanović in an official visit to the Assembly of Montenegro
"Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) Nebojša Radmanović is on an official visit to the Assembly of Montenegro at the invitation of the President of the Montenegrin Assembly Andrija Mandić.
The Speaker of the House of Representatives of the PA BiH and the President of the Parliament of Montenegro stated that the relations between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro are at a high level and that there are no open questions, which is further indicated by the fact that the only confirmed and completely resolved border in the territory of the former Yugoslavia is the border between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Montenegro.
Speaker Radmanović emphasized the importance of the Dayton Peace Agreement, which, as he emphasized, is perhaps the most important agreement after the Second World War. "The problem in Bosnia and Herzegovina is foreign intervention and an attempt at centralization. "BiH is not sovereign, because sovereignty implies indigenous management of citizens' own land, and foreign judges in the Constitutional Court and the OHR violate sovereignty," Radmanović pointed out. He added that Bosnia and Herzegovina is a complex country, but that there are examples of other European countries, such as Switzerland and Belgium, which, despite their complexity, function well. What is important is that there is a consensus in BiH regarding the issue of Bosnia and Herzegovina joining the European Union (EU), Radmanović concluded.
During the conversation, it was noted that Montenegro achieved great success on the way to full membership in the EU, and that Montenegrin experience in that process would mean a lot to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The President of the Parliament of Montenegro Andrija Mandić pointed out that Montenegro and Bosnia and Herzegovina are historically connected and that the relations between the two countries are traditionally good. The President of the Montenegro Assembly added that the stability in Bosnia and Herzegovina is based on the Dayton Agreement, and expressed the view that all political actors should adhere to it.
Speaking of numerous infrastructure projects, the significance of the reconstruction of the road to Sarajevo was highlighted, with a special emphasis on the Šćepan polje border crossing and the section to Foča, as well as the construction of the Adriatic-Ionian road. It was stated that an agreement has finally been reached regarding the valorisation of Bileća Lake, from which the citizens of Nikšić Municipality feel a special benefit.
At the meeting, the results of the American elections were discussed, and the interlocutors agreed that the victory of Donald Trump could lead to a different attitude of the USA towards the Western Balkans, in a positive sense and without interventionism.“(Statement from the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives Nebojša Radmanović)
