Member of the PABiH Joint Committee on European Integration, Branislav Borenović, Attends 72nd COSAC Plenary Session in Budapest

Member of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina (PA BiH) and member of the PA BiH Joint Committee on European Integration, Branislav Borenović, is participating in the 72nd Plenary Session of the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union (COSAC), being held today and tomorrow in Budapest.

Parliamentarians from EU member states and EU accession countries are discussing the programme and achievements of the current Hungarian Presidency of the EU Council, as well as the topic "The State of the EU in a Year of Institutional Transition and the 15th Anniversary of the Lisbon Treaty."

On behalf of the hosts, the Speaker of the Hungarian National Assembly, László Kövér, welcomed the Conference participants.

As outlined in the COSAC plenary programme, tomorrow’s discussions will focus on European demographic trends and the responses of the EU and its member states to these trends. During this session, Member of Parliament Branislav Borenović will also address the Conference participants.

The COSAC Plenary Session in Budapest will conclude with discussions on European security and defence, followed by the adoption of conclusions and a joint declaration by Conference participants. (End)
