The Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives Dr. Denis Bećirović spoke with Ganira Pashayeva (Republic of Azarbaijan)
Today, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Denis Bećirović spoke with the member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan in the Council of Europe Parliamentary Assembly, Ganira Pashayeva. Dr. Bećirović emphasized, “The National Assembly of Azerbaijan made a decision to establish a working group for Parliamentary co-operation with Bosnia and Herzegovina on 13 December 2005. Also, during the session of the House of Representatives and the House of Peoples, the Parliamentary Assembly of Bosnia and Herzegovina made a decision on the appointment of the Inter-Parliamentary Friendship Group for Azerbaijan in January 2008. The task of the working groups is to provide proposals for initiating concrete activities in order to begin co-operation between the two parliaments.”
The Member of the National Assembly of Azerbaijan Ganira Pashayeva emphasized that with good friendly relations between the two countries, there are many opportunities for co-operation which, in addition, could be initiated through the stronger co-operation between the Parliaments and meetings of high-level delegates.
During the meeting, Deputy Speaker Dr. Bećirović stressed the need for co-operation improvement in fields such as economy, culture, tourism and health, as well as the qualitative presentation of BiH's potential to interested investors. (end)
